Come join us in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis–Saint Paul for the NYSCAA 48th Reunion in the Midwest from August 18-21, 2011! There are tons of great things to do in the area: the Science Museum of Minnesota, the Minneapolis Institute of the Arts, the Guthrie Theatre, The Walker Art Gallery, The Mall of America, Uptown (a funky collection of restaurants, bars, shops), and Como Park and Zoo. We even have a chance to see the Twins host the Yankees at the new Target Field.
NYSCAA reunions are always flexible, so please join us as much as you can even if you can't spend the whole weekend with us. The weather is usually warm and temperate with low humidity – even in August. It’s a beautiful time to explore the “Minneapple” with your science camp friends and family.
Register today! We'd love to see you for the whole reunion, but if your schedule is tight, you're more than welcome to join us to spend the day with fellow alumni, the reunion dinner on Saturday, or just to say hi (just select the Single Day option on the registration form).
Whether you'll be attending or not, make sure to update your alumni profile in the Alumni Directory. Keep us up-to-date and let us know your current address, family additions, career moves, and anything else you would like to share!
Accommodations have been reserved at the Hotel Minneapolis in downtown Minneapolis. The hotel is conveniently located between two light rail stations, Government Plaza and Nicollet Mall, so you can take public transit from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
The NYSCAA has blocked a set of rooms at the The Hotel Minneapolis. The discounted room rate is $99 plus tax for an Autograph King guest room (one king bed, single or double occupancy). This special rate is guaranteed for reservations made prior to July 19, 2011 or until the block is full. Please click on the link below to book your reservation.
You may also call 800-MARRIOTT or 612-340-2000 and ask for reservations under the National Youth Science Camp Alumni Association block.
The registration deadline is Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 12 Noon EDT. If you have already registered, you can add other options, e.g., additional registrations, guests for Saturday's reunion dinner, reunion financial aid contributions, dues, and donations.
Full registration fees includes the welcome packet, snacks/beverages, one lunch during Friday’s excursions, and reunion dinner on Saturday.
