Reunion 2007 will be based out of the Microtel Inn & Suites Houston. Join fellow alumni in the Microtel lobby or at Space Center Houston at designated times.

Thursday, June 7, 2007 — Out-of-Town Arrivals
  • All Day – Arrive in the Houston area in the afternoon. Official hotel checkin time at the Microtel Inn and Suites Houston is 3pm.
  • 4pm to 6pm – Alumni check in the lobby of the Microtel Inn and Suites for tickets and agenda and mingle with alumni.
  • 6pm – Dinner on your own (not included in registration fee). Meet other alums in the Microtel lobby if you want to go as a group.
Friday, June 8, 2007 — Space Center Houston
  • Morning – The Microtel Inn and Suites hotel offers a continental breakfast for registered hotel guests.
  • All Day – Tours and exhibits at Space Center Houston (ticket included in registration). If you haven't checked in yet, tickets and all event details will be available in front of Space Center Houston from 10am-11am.
  • Lunch – Munch on your own schedule during the day at Space Center Houston (meal ticket included in registration).
  • 1:45pm to 4:30pm – Meet at Special Guided Tour of Johnson Space Center.
    • 1:45pm – Meet upstairs in the Space Center Houston Board Room.
    • 2:00pm – Introduction and lecture by Astronaut Don Thomas.
    • 2:30pm to 4:30pm – Depart the Private Tram Boarding Area for a guided tour. Exact content will depend on whether the Space Shuttle launch is still planned for 6:38pm Central time today.
  • 6:30pm – If Shuttle launch is on schedule, watch on large TV near the Space Center Houston main exit doors, followed by ride-sharing to dinner.
  • 7pm – Tex-Mex dinner at Mamacita's (included in registration, cash bar on your own). The restaurant is about a 3-minute, 1.4-mile drive down the road. Mamacita's Mexican Restaurant & Cantina, 515 E NASA Blvd, Webster, TX 77598, (281) 332-3312 .

Saturday, June 9, 2007 — Business, Seminars, Banquet, and Coastal Fun
  • Morning – The Microtel Inn and Suites hotel offers a continental breakfast for registered hotel guests.
  • 9am to 10:30am – Alumni Seminars (Board Room, Space Center Houston). Families can join or continue to have access to the entire Space Center Houston facility.
    • 9:00am to 9:20am – "Biodiesel and Us," Dave Hackleman
    • 9:20am to 9:40am – "Have I got problems!" Steve Blasburg
    • 9:40am to 10:00am – "Venture Capital 101," Omar Ahmad
    • 10:00am to 10:20am – "Parachutes, Propulsion, and People," Jarret Lafleur
  • 10:30am to 11:30am – Presentation by Astronaut Don Pettit (Board Room, Space Center Houston , your families won't want to miss this either!)
  • Noon to 2:30pm – Private group lunch and business meeting (The Club, Space Center Houston)
    • Noon to 1:00pm – Lunch (guests and families included)
    • 1:00pm to 1:30pm – NYSC and NYSF Update, Andy Blackwood
    • 1:30pm to 2:30pm – Business meeting
  • Afternoon – Free time to visit. Make your way to Kemah Boardwalk for afternoon fun!
  • 6:30pm – Closing banquet at Flying Dutchman Restaurant (upstairs) at

Sunday, June 10, 2007 — Free Day, Out-of Town Departures
  • Morning – The Microtel Inn and Suites hotel offers a continental breakfast for registered guests.
  • All Day – Free time for alumni to venture into Houston for museums, shopping, other activities, or just hang out until folks have to leave.

Alumni are encouraged to spend additional time in Houston to take full advantage of all of our attractions. All of the planners have their favorite things to see in the area, so email us at if you'd like some ideas.
